Students are to complete BOTH SIDES of their Battle of Hastings cartoon sheet.
They are to pick out the key points from each caption and convert those key points into coloured drawings above each caption

All students know what to do and how to complete it – we’ve gone over it in class. They can come up to my room any lunchtime to work on it, use the Internet, etc, except Mondays (due to Y11 revision)
Students are to write an interview with a gladiator. This means they write the questions asked, then the response a gladiator would give. They have a summary of information and some students also have a help sheet. All students have seen a video on Roman gladiators and we have spent time in class discussing how to write this interview.

Students are to revise from their exercise books everything covered on Map skills, including scale, direction, map symbols, contours, etc
Students are to complete their Wanted – Roman soldier poster, which is getting them to use persuasive language about life as a Roman soldier.
Many students have taken picture of the textbook and a plan on the board.
